What we want to change and why we want to change it

Research from the National Union of Students (NUS) shows that 20% of students experience mental health difficulties while at university. We want to let our students’ know that they are not alone and there is support out there if they need it.

A week dedicated to Mental Health Awareness, Think Out Loud is about letting people know how you actually feel and ending the stigma surrounding mental health. Life at university can sometimes be lonely so we have arranged events to raise awareness of Mental Health Issues, help you break the ice, meet new people and learn of ways you can look after your own mental health.

Have a look on What’s On to see the events we have planned starting on Monday 28 November including a Music Mood Room, a Self-Defence Class, an Open Mic Night, a Healing Room and a Mental Fitness Workshop with Conor Mortimer (ex Mayo GAA player) and Daniel Sculthrope (former Rugby League Professional).
