Hope4Life focus on prevention and early intervention mental health workshops and training programmes. They have written and developed the Uberheroes® programme for children and young people, which uses the true stories of young people who have navigated adverse experiences, retold in superhero themed comics where the heroes represent characteristics and strengths that support mental health and the villains represent issues that undermine wellbeing.  Volunteers support this wonderful programme that evidences simple changes can, and do, make a big difference, in increasing understanding of resilience, positive coping strategies and wellbeing practices.

Volunteering in an early intervention mental health workshop can seem intimidating, after all, if you want an honest audience and to truly put your presentation skills to the test, go to a classroom of 10 year olds! But how do Hope 4 Life NI ensure that volunteers aren't left floating in uncertainty, how do they promote growth whilst preventing discomfort, and most importantly, what do you, as a volunteer, get out of it?

Come along and find out! No strings, no expectations, just putting faces to an organisation that supports children and young people across NI, whilst finding out 'how' getting involved can bridge the gap to your future career.

Lunch provided!
